Casa Azul makes a difference for people of all backgrounds and ages through advocacy, programs, and events.
On behalf of the Board of Casa Azul of Greensboro, we write to share our deep heartbreak and unwavering solidarity with the Latino/Latin American community in Greensboro and beyond. As an arts organization rooted in and dedicated to the Hispanic/Latino community, we are profoundly saddened to witness the increasing targeting, marginalization, and hostility faced by our community members.
Our mission—to celebrate, elevate, and empower Latino voices through the arts—stands in direct contrast to the divisive rhetoric and actions that threaten the dignity, safety, and cultural contributions of our people. It is unacceptable that in 2025, individuals and families who share our heritage and our hopes, are being singled out because of who they are.
We want to say clearly:
History has shown us what happens when fear is left unchecked. Yet history also shows us the power of art, the power of community, the power of love. Casa Azul remains committed to being a safe and vibrant space, and a bold voice for our community. We reaffirm our promise: To create art that matters, to honor the stories of our people, and to stand boldly for justice, inclusion, and belonging.
We invite all who believe in a more inclusive, compassionate Greensboro to join us. Attend our exhibitions. Share our message. Invite one more person into the conversation. Be an ally not just in words, but in action.
Together, we will continue to turn pain into purpose—through creativity, through community, and through unwavering solidarity.
Con corazón y esperanza,
The Board of Directors of Casa Azul of Greensboro

Asistan a nuestras exhibiciones. Compartan nuestro mensaje.
